So I have followed through and set up all the mappings as you said through the initial settings configuation stage. Bazarr lets you use more providers by leveraging Subliminal, which is what SubZero leverages as well and is one of the better, if not best, subtitle matching apps around. Plex users can use the SubZero plugin but Emby users like myself have been stuck with the built-in Opensubtitles support which is pretty lacking. I have this working and downloading subs for my movies and tv shows. Then do a sync (or wait for it to kick off on it's own, it's scheduled) and it'll be able to show you what you have and what's missing. Last tip: After you get it working and Bazarr correctly scans all your shows/movies (it can take a bit) you can mass-edit the list and choose the languages, or language, you want to apply to them. This probably seems obvious but I know sometimes container paths, especially when using containers from different sources, can get confusing, and the Bazarr instructions are somewhat unclear at the moment. That will insure you are using the right ones. Quickest sanity check is just to open a console shell for all 3 containers and cd/ls each container path. Obviously you need to use the actual paths you are using. In the above example, you'd use /media for both the Sonarr and Radarr path (left side) and /movies for Radarr /tv for Sonarr for the Bazarr mapping (right side). Step 3) Use the respective container path mappings in Bazarr. So /mnt/media/movies (if that is your actual Unraid path) is mapped to /media inside the Radarr container, and so on. For example, Binhex-Sonarr/Radarr maps your directories to /media for those containers. Step 2) You need to use the same *container* path for Sonarr/Radarr - the ones those containers are using. You can easily test this by opening up a console shell for the container and cd'ing to /movies and /tv - if you mapped this correctly you'll see a list of your respective files in each. Inside the container itself that is where Bazarr sees the content. *That's* what you use.įor the Unraid Bazarr container Movies are mapped to /movies and TV mapped to /tv. Note these are *not the paths you use in the applications!* Like all containers, this just maps to an internal container path. You'll link 2 to wherever your movies are, like /mnt/media/movies and 3 to tv, like /mnt/media/tv. Step 1) In the Bazarr container note Host Path 2 and 3. The easiest way to fix this is A) Find the correct paths and B) Delete the Bazaar container & it's appdata folder and start again (I discovered that in some cases, changing to the correct path doesn't always work if it's already logged the wrong one and it was easy to just start over).

I’ll post again once I’ve had a chance to mic some of these and get some loaded and downrange, but for now…get your orders in (at a fair price btw), and be patient while they work their asses off to fill all the orders that we can only imagine they are seeing right now. My first impression is that these guys are communicating well, mean to do what’s best for their customers, and give a damn about their reputation. Bulk Ammo Handgun Ammo Rifle Ammo Rimfire Ammo Shotgun Ammo. How many times have any of us received “that box” of bullets that wasn’t packaged and preserved properly. They were boxed separately in 1k boxes, taped up very well, and re-boxed and taped up again so that regardless of any shipper negligence, these bullets will arrive without being busted open or mixed up, with some missing. Also of importance from more of a pragmatic perspective is that I have never received a box of bullets packaged better than the 3k I just received from RMR. 9MM 147 Grain flat point coated bullets now available at Northeast These bullets start life as ingots consisting of 92 lead, 6 antimony, and 2 tin, the optimal lead composition for the making of projectiles. At a time when most suppliers are just throwing things together to get it out the door, this team took that little bit of extra time to “put a bow on it”. 9MM 147 Grain Accu Coat Flat Point (250 Count) 35.99 As low as 26.00. Having procured from many sources over the years, I have to say that it was very apparent upon opening my shipment that they care enough to add a personal touch such as hand written thank you notes and pack slip verification, business cards, and little extras in the box. The RMR team has communicated their situation very well and have continued to update the customer base as things progress. I cannot comment yet on the product integrity however I wanted to get this initial review posted regarding RMR’s customer service during these difficult initial stages of this virus scare. I’m a brand new customer to RMR and during a very awkward time for both RMR and their customer base. If I need people to fill out forms and gather information, I use web based solutions like Google Forms, MailChimp, or SquareSpace Forms. It can open most PDFs, allow you to mark them up, and even fill some of them out. The things I’ve heard here and elsewhere seem to beĪpple’s Preview software does what 97% of their users need. I suppose things are open to constant change with each app update, contributing to making such hard-and-fast determinations difficult anyway, along with each user’s individual needs & usage. So it seems there is basically no clear answer here on best app usage. Super broken and really problematic as it was a form I REALLY needed to have filled out properly and usable by recipient. I recently experienced the issue of form filled out in Preview simply did not stay filled when shared. I’ve tried 3 times now to submit a ticket on their support page I was attempting to edit a form originally created in Acrobat Pro by adding a new form field and found myself unable to edit the field’s border (or for that matter, any of the previously created form fields’ borders). PDFpenPro since their acquisition from Nitro was less than satisfactory. I have to admit my first interaction with support re. Unfortunately, it is dependent on PDFKit, so do not use it for editing and sharing important forms (that should always be done in Acrobat Reader or Pro). Skim started in the scientific/education/research area but is very useful for daily PDF wrangling. It is free, open source, fast, lightweight and has many customizable features. That being said, my PDF viewer/notator of choice on macOS is Skim. Howard Oakley has a series of posts about PDF without Adobe. Fortunately, I only work with basic PDFs. And seemingly they know it, as the price they continue to charge for using Acrobat remains excessively high years later… even Standard DC is $13/mth, while Pro DC is just 2 bucks more at $15/mth (both provided you take an annual commitment), so even if you only need the Standard tools it’s $156 (making $180 for Pro little more!) – but that’s PER YEAR, so pretty expensive for average users.Īdobe Reader no longer has a good interface, but from what I hear for many uses it’s the only option. While Adobe giveth in open-sourcing PDF format years ago, they then taketh-away, as ultimately they have (reliable!) control of PDF editing software compared to every other app out there. It seems to me users are caught in a bit of a trap here. I think my biggest issue is that copying the selected text doesn’t always work well. I know the story above is from some time ago, but still in 2022 I have editing issues in all my PDF applications where markup gets screwed-up, with even Preview being continually unreliable for marking-up documents that need to be accessed and used days/weeks/years after their creation.įor me, at least, Preview works fine these days, in that the previously discussed bugs, form saving, and progressive rendering weirdness have been fixed. Just wondered if Preview (and other PDF apps for that matter) are considered “stable” at the moment? I haven’t had the chance to try another unit but I’ve seen them in many videos and the playing does look fairly effortless. I think there’s probably just a few bad apples floating around out there because I’ve heard varying opinions. If this is a common thing with these, then why aren’t there horrible reviews written everywhere? (Again, that’s why I’m considering it might be a one-off bad unit)ĭoes anyone here have one? And does anyone here also own a real piano or true hammer action instrument to compare it with? Have you played other hammer action keyboards like the Nord Piano or anything else? What are your thoughts on the S88? Because for me, if that’s a regular QC passed production run, it just feels like a bad joke…ĭang sorry to hear! This is an old thread so I can tell you I’ve been back to that store +6 months later to find the S88 still sitting on the floor unsold and feeling just as bad as I remembered it. that’s $1400 pre tax for a midi keyboard with 2 screens that just controls NI software. Now I’m going to give everyone including NI the benefit of the doubt and just think that maybe this was a one-off bad production unit, but damn man. It actually felt like there was just styrofoam stuck under the keys or something to make it feel “weighted” but it was horribly heavy to push any key down, I felt resistance everywhere and it did not feel anything like any Hammer Action that I know of. My old M-Audio Keybed felt better than this thing. I put my hands down on the thing and it’s honestly got to be the worst keybed I’ve ever felt. So, with that in mind, I was ready to be blown away. Sitting a few keyboards over was the KK S88 MK2, I’ve also never played one of those so I went up to it and saw the whopping $1400+ (CAD) price tag on it but then I remembered hearing so many good things about it online when I was looking for a high end midi keyboard. It was great, a really interesting piece of gear and I see why so many people love it. Today I was in the Music Store and they had a Nord Piano 5 sitting there, and personally I’ve never sat down and played one, so I did. But they are known for having less than desirable action, I did the best I could with that thing and it plays very smoothly now, but it still feels like a Rhodes. I recently got a 1973 Rhodes MK1, a beautiful instrument that I restored inside and out, it’s my baby. I ended up chosing the Novation 61SL MK3 in the end but anyways. Okay so let me give this some context, I’m not here to shit on NI, I actually like their products a lot, I use a Maschine now in my daily workflow and the S61 was a big contender for my main controller. James Norton and Amanda Seyfried in Things Heard & Seen – Copyright. We open sourced it when we were at the company. Michael Schwartz: Was there a community at that time for Neo4j?Įmil Efreim: No, we were always like a single-vendor, vendor-lead open source, so we created the software internally. We started a first round of seed funding in 2009 at the back of NoSQL happening. NoSQL started happening, and that’s when we said all right, let’s spin out this into a separate company. At that point, big data was starting to get a hold. So then, fast forward a bunch of years towards the end of the 2000s, so 2007, 2008, 2009. We disagreed with that perspective but felt like it was impossible to change the entire discourse in this industry. The industry was just coming off this big hangover, if you will, from the object databases in the mid-to-late ‘90s, which kind of flamed out very quickly.Īt that point, everyone’s kind of talking – yeah, the Ruby innovations in data, it’s just going to build on top of the relational database. But when we looked at the industry, at the time there was really no discussions around alternative databases. We were working at an Enterprise content management company at the time, and we had a lot of data that was very connected, so we solved it for our own use. When we first solved the problem, or at least started solving the problem, it was, like you mentioned, early 2000, and that was just a fully internal use. Michael Schwartz: You and your co-founders identified the need for a graph database around 2000, and you spent a couple of years trying to tackle the super hard problem.Īt what point did you decide it was the right time to start the company behind this database?Įmil Efreim: That’s a good question. And if you have that kind of data, we can typically query it and be a thousand times faster, even a million times faster than a traditional relational database. It turns out that a lot of data, in the modern day and age, is very connected. It’s a way of modeling data that is highly connected. When I say graph, you should think social graph, which is a synonym with network. So, through that, you can build up a graph. But unlike the databases that most people are familiar with relational databases, which shape that data in rows and columns – our building blocks, or abstractions, are nodes and then relationships between those nodes. One that I’ve spent most of my career actually answering and broadcasting.Īt the highest level, we’re a database, so we store data. But just to provide some context, what is a graph database and what is it good at?Įmil Eifrem: That is a great question. Michael Schwartz: So, primarily this is a business podcast. What is a Graph Database?Įmil Eifrem: Thanks, Mike. I think I only scratched the surface, so enough of my blabbering, here it goes. Not surprisingly, Emil has learned a few things along the way, so for this reason, it was a lot of fun chatting with him. The list goes on, and pretty much every challenge in the book was faced by Neo4j. It’s hard to build a business around open source. It’s hard to build an open source community from scratch. It’s hard to raise capital if you are based in Sweden. It’s hard to build a new business model in your totally new market segment. It’s hard to invent a totally new market segment. This week, we’re lucky to have with us Emil Eifrem, one of the co-founders and the CEO of Neo4j.Įverything about Neo4j’s journey was difficult. Michael Schwartz: Welcome back, Underdogs. In this episode, Emil identifies key questions entrepreneurs must ask in the emerging era of public cloud software. When setting up your self-service software, you must first understand the customers you are trying to help. When designing your self-service portal, ensure you create a seamless experience for customers needing help. How to setup your self-service software portal for your business?Įvery self-service software needs to achieve different goals depending on the types of customers it's made for. Gathering all this information up front in a short, intuitive ticket form can increase first contact resolution rates and reduce back and forth between your team and frustrated customers. This might include their order numbers, the best way to contact them, and any details about their questions or issues. Ticket forms are a tool for your support team to gather the knowledge they need from the customers submitting tickets. While the entire purpose of self-service software is to deflect tickets, some of your customers will want to connect with your support agents no matter what. A self-service software can also have a feedback forum where customers can comment on or upvote new feature suggestions. If you have a large, active customer base, offering many-to-many support on a community forum is a great way to reduce the volume of incoming tickets. Communities and Forumsįorums are an effective way of scaling support because users interact with one another and brainstorm solutions based on their product experience. Most self-service portals will have a big, helpful search bar right at the top of the page - it’s the easiest way for customers to get help, so we want to make sure customers don’t miss it! 3. A knowledge base should contain all relevant information about your product or service including a getting started guide, FAQs, step-by-step how-to articles, and even troubleshooting information if things go wrong. When customers navigate to your self-service portal, the first thing they often do is search for content that might answer their questions. Additionally, managing bills and moving tickets and agents across multiple products will make your administrator's job easier. Many customer self-service software offers multi-product support so that, while your customers only see what's relevant to them, everything stays streamlined behind the scenes. If your company supports multiple products or services, you don't want to manage all of the help desks separately. Key features every self-service software must have 1. |
